🌱 Hemp Cultivation Overview & Quick Reference Guide
Environmental Conditions
| Week | Stage | PPM | Light (%) | Temp (°F) | Humidity (%) | VPD (kPa) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1-2 | 🌱 | 100-250 | 40-50 | 70-75 | 65-70 | 0.4-0.8 |
| 3-4 | 🌿 | 500-800 | 60-70 | 75-85 | 60-70 | 0.8-1.2 |
| 5-9 | 🌼 | 1000-1400 | 80-100 | 70-80 | 50-60 | 1.0-1.5 |
| 10-12 | 🌸 | 800-1000 | 100 | 65-75 | 40-50 | 1.2-1.8 |
Optimal pH Levels
Maintain a pH between 5.5 and 6.5 for ideal nutrient uptake. Monitoring pH levels regularly helps ensure the plant absorbs nutrients effectively, reducing deficiencies and toxicities.
Lighting Height
Keep lights 18-24 inches above the canopy for optimal penetration without burn. Adjust the height as plants grow to maintain consistent light exposure while avoiding overheating or light stress.
Growth Stages
- Germination : Keep seeds warm and moist to facilitate sprouting. High humidity and gentle warmth are essential during this stage to ensure successful germination.
- Seedling 🌱: During the first two weeks, maintain light intensity at 40-50% and humidity at 65-70%. This helps young plants establish roots without experiencing undue stress.
- Vegetative 🌿: Increase light intensity to around 60-70% and keep humidity at 60%. Temperature should be between 75-85°F. Plants grow vigorously during this stage, and proper lighting and nutrient levels are key to achieving robust growth.
- Early Flowering 🌼: Switch to a 12/12 light cycle to induce flowering, increasing light intensity to 80-100%. Humidity should be brought down to 50-60% to prevent mold, while temperatures remain between 70-80°F.
- Late Flowering 🌸: Reduce PPM levels to 800-1000 to flush out excess nutrients. Humidity should be lowered further to 40-50% to protect buds from mold as they mature and prepare for harvest.
These environmental guidelines help ensure hemp plants thrive at every stage of growth, reducing the risk of common issues like nutrient deficiencies, mold, and light stress. Maintaining consistency throughout the grow cycle will help optimize yields and enhance overall plant health.
